Carol Soffer Indoor Practice Facility
The new indoor practice facility for the University of Miami football program where Carlos Padron was a key member and manager of the construction team responsible for the development of the 81,850 SF pre-engineered metal facility featuring two fields directly connecting to the Squillante Strength and Condition Center at the University of Miami. Carlos played a vital role in coordinating multiple subcontractors, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Through meticulous planning and effective communication, the project was completed on time, within a $39 million budget, and exceeded both the University & former Head Coach Mark Richt’s expectations.
Port Miami Cruise Terminal Expansion
Carlos Padron contributed significantly to the 471,500 square-foot Cruise Terminal F expansion project completing the project on time and on budget. In collaboration with local authorities, Carlos Padron spearheaded an infrastructure improvement project incorporating the existing facility with expansion building elements that define a new facility with new character and identity. Carlos’s meticulous attention to detail and ability to resolve complex construction challenges ensured the smooth execution of the project, resulting in the expansion of exterior & interior components that aim to enhance the cruise passenger experience. The timely delivery of an upgraded terminal that is comparable to the new terminals currently being constructed on the Port in operational clarity as well as aesthetic appeal while coming in under budget in comparison to the new terminals.

The mols significant construction project in Belen’s History, as a project manager, Carlos successfully oversaw all phases of construction, including foundation work, structural steel & reinforced concrete structure of the building, and interior finishings. His adept management skills and commitment to delivering high-quality results resulted in a much -anticipated sanctuary that will witness many weddings, baptisms, and other events that will enhance the well-known bond of all the Belén alumni and their families for generations to come.
Carlos’s involvement in these construction projects in the Miami area has exemplified his ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure project success, and deliver exceptional results. Following his successful career with Lamartec, Carlos has begun his own contracting firm where he has worked with private clients throughout prestigious south Florida neighborhoods including Coral Gables, and Pinecrest in Miami as well as the private Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo.
